We installed our three electric roller shutters in November
and are very happy with the results and the cost.
Along the way, we had to contact you for advice and your response
was prompt, friendly and helpful.
We had investigated several other suppliers. One would have taken
three months to install (not even electric); one hadn’t even contacted
us to give a quote by the time we had ordered and received our shutters
from you; and the third wanted to know whether I had a husband before
they would even book in to measure and quote! I’m guessing they
were the same “hard sell” company referred to in other testimonials.
I was happy to get an instant quote online from you. Our order
arrived within a week. The instructions were clear and if we had
trusted them and not thought we knew better, all would have gone even more smoothly.
I would suggest potential buyers consider carefully the accessibility
of the window before going ahead. Two people need to be able to get in
close – gardens, uneven ground and height can be problems.
Those looking at putting the shutters inside the window opening,
should consider whether insect screens can be removed once the shutters
have been installed – we have 600mm wide double hung windows and so we
had to put our shutters on the wall face.
Putting the roller shutters up was pretty straightforward, but
we should have had an electrician to give us an estimate of costs and
look at any problems before we ordered the shutters, to save thinking
time on the job, which we had to pay for. (Where will the cables go,
accessibility, location for wall switches.)
We now have efficient heat and light control in our bedroom and better
ventilation in the ensuite while maintaining privacy.

It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with your company. After being frustrated by the roller shutter “cowboys” with their exorbitant prices and dubious installation abilities it was a revelation to realise I could DIY. My house is constructed of aerated concrete which makes mounting awnings tricky and installers I had talked to wanted to use standard concrete anchors to secure the shutter to my house. I had a previous fabric awning on this window which was fastened this way but over time had become loose. I used 14G 150mm batten screws which I ground the heads down to fit through the 10mm holes on the guides, and drilled straight into the surrounding timber window frame. Those shutters are going nowhere now! Only problem I have is that the shutter looks so good the missus wants the whole house done...goodbye weekends!

Hi Bob,
After some pressure (the wife) I have just finished installing our new
Battery Powered Roller Shutters, except for one minor problem they where
quite easy to install by my self.
This is an excellent product, they look like they where made to be on our
house, add value, security and on those very hot nights you can open the
shutters sightly as well as the windows and let the breeze flow through
without concern to our safety.
I had shutters installed on our previous house but hadn't worried
on the new one mainly because of cost, this was until I found your on-line
web site and when I did the quick price exercise I couldn't believe
the price.
You're on-line ordering system and your second to none easy going
customer service (you treat use like part of the family) before and after
purchase is a credit to you and your staff, it's a shame that not more
companies had the same approach to their clients.

Living in an extremely hot climate and being a shift worker, the prospect
of installing roller shutters was just a matter of time. When
the opportunity came to get a quote to have roller shutters installed we
were excited, however nothing prepared my wife and I for the total investment
of funds this little project was going to cost us through this door
to door company we were speechless to say the least!
After dismissing the over zealous salesman we decided to do some researching

We have now had the shutters in for a few weeks now and have found them
to be excellent. The thermal insulating properties of these are magnificent
with a real noticeable difference in the bed rooms as compared to before.
As for the noise reduction it has certainly reduced traffic noise in which
we were particularly wanting.

we were extremely happy with the friendly experienced service we received
and no pushy salesmen as compared to other manufactures. Fitting of the
shutters was a breeze, even with in reveal fitting the shutters fitted like

The online guides, literature, documents and general advice made the purchasing process very easy. The installation guide was spot on as well so I had no hassles and I completed the install of my shutter within a couple of hours. These guys have made it so easy to save money as well. I have had an excellent experience in dealing with Australian Online Roller
Shutters, the initial support you were able to provide in answering all
my questions that I had was fantastic. The products that I purchased were
shipped promptly after payment was received, and the after-sales service
and support remained without any deterioration. I was also extremely impressed
by the cost of goods; they were ALOT cheaper than the original ones purchased
from a different supplier, for the EXACT same product!
Our original roller shutters were installed and supplied by a company doing
door-to-door pressure sales, and stupidly we bought them at a ridiculous
price
Part of the "sales agreement" with that company was to recommend
them to others; however we could never speak of the price! I have not recommended

Well, we just had the hottest day this year in Perth (38C) and boy did the
new rollershutters work a treat exactly like your site promotes they will.
I had for a long time wondered "how much do these things cost"
and I was very reluctant to call anyone because I hate all that sales crap.
Then one day I was at my local shopping centre and I gave in. They took
my details and then a call to verify then phoned me to verify the appointment
and they wanted to make sure that my wife would be there. So I thought this
is a very efficient company (am I aloud to mention the company XXXXX) So
out they came, salesman arrives and I will admit right on time then the
sales pitch. By the end of it, 1 hour later I felt like I could just about
melt the aluminium and make my own
But then the big moment lets measure the windows. I only had two windows
to measure but the result was rather astounding. I sort of thought about
a few thousand dollars but when it came in at $4700 I thought I wasn't installing
a roller shutter more like a roller door!
Anyway I said that the shopping centre promotion said buy two get one free
so the salesman said OK I will give you 30% off. Then if I put their sign
out the front for I can't remember how many weeks like 6 months or something,
then I would get another big discount I really started to become uneasy.
So when I took exception to his discounts for the two windows and ask him
to leave he rang his head manager who offered further discounts down to
$2600. When I told them I thought their discounted calculation of about
$1500 was more what I thought roller shutters should be worth I got a rather
indigent reply from both the manager on the phone and the salesman and the
meeting ended in mutual disgust.
After I removed the salesman and his samples I though try Goggle and that's
when I realised I was not being unrealistic with my cost estimate and with
a little additional freight to W.A from your factory I was right on the
money. Measured up in accordance with your online video instructions and
had no hesitation in ordering my new rollershutters and paying over the
Internet because of the huge saving. Your Paypal facility is also very convenient.
I would have to admit that paying this rather large amount over the Internet
was a bit scary but the end result has been fantastic. I would also have
to commend you Bob on your prompt replies and helpful hints on any question
ask from, delivery times to installation hints.
O' I forgot to mention that the company that visited me stated that part
of their discount conditions were that we promote their product to family
and friend but were not aloud to tell them the price. Wonder why?

We had our roller shutters installed and I have to tell you the novelty
has still not worn off!! We are the parents of two young children and having
travelled a lot recently it has reiterated how much we love and rely on
our roller shutters. We found the girls were waking up so early without
the roller shutters.
We certainly would have been lost without them during daylight
savings, with the sun not going down until 9pm, at least now we can

Hi, I've had 4 electric roller shutters for 9 years now, Trouble Free. I was impressed, so 2 months ago I bought 2 battery operated roller shutters which were from the same manufacture.The 2 new roller shutters are at the southern end of the house so at night all 6 shutters are closed and with the slow combustion heater on low the house is so much warmer in the morning which is handy when you live in the Adelaide Hills. So I can recommend roller shutters for their thermal properties. The same roller shutters work in reverse in summer and people think we have an air conditioner and they don;t believe it;s just because of the roller shutters but it;s true, they;re great!!

For many years I have wanted to install roller shutters on the house, but
the quotations I received from several companies over the years were well
in excess of what I could afford. I had given up on the idea completely
until I came across your website. That changed everything.
All the roller shutters are now installed and working well and I use them
daily. They look very neat indeed from the outside when closed. Already,
I am seeing the benefits of the insulation properties through reduced thermostat
settings for my heating.
I found the measurement instructions and installation videos easy to follow.
Anyone with handyman skills should be able to measure and install the shutters
if they follow the instructions closely.
I particularly like the battery operated option as it means the shutters
will still work during a power failure (which can be frequent in the Adelaide
Hills). It also means that no electrician is needed for installation leading
to further savings.
I was also impressed by the fact that yours is the only roller shutter
website that I have found that directly addresses the issue of protection
from radiant heat during bushfires. This is particularly important for me
as I live in a high bushfire risk area. It is comforting to know that the
roller shutters have been independently appraised by the CSIRO and are suitable
for protecting windows from radiant heat during bushfires.
